Maintenance Technician at Jönköping Municipality

Your New Job

As a maintenance technician, you will help create a pleasant environment for residents and visitors! You contribute to a high standard in our public spaces through careful and quality work. In this role, you will respond to incoming requests related to bus shelters and graffiti throughout the municipality. The work is always performed together with another colleague.

Your main tasks include:

• Regular maintenance and cleaning of the municipality's bus shelters, such as washing and replacing broken glass panes.
• Quick and effective removal of graffiti in public places such as road tunnels and bus shelters using high-pressure cleaning equipment.
• Be the face of Jönköping Municipality and the Technical Office.
• Independently and together with your closest colleague make decisions within your area of responsibility.
• Internal and external collaborations.
• Time reporting and reporting of completed work in the operational system Amaisy via phone or tablet.
• Snow preparedness during the day.
• Winter preparedness around the clock + weekends according to schedule.

Organizationally, you will belong to the Technical Office, Department of Street Park Forest, and the Maintenance Unit. In your work, you will report to the unit manager for maintenance. Your workplace will be based at a depot located in Klämmestorp. Working hours are primarily 07:00 to 16:00.

Your Qualifications

Requirements:

• Completed upper secondary education.
• Good IT skills and experience with systems.
• Good knowledge of Swedish.
• Driving license CE.
• Good physical condition.

Meritorious:

• Work experience from public sector.
• Work experience from service jobs or maintenance work.

As a maintenance technician, you will become part of the Technical Office and the Street Park Forest Department, which is responsible for the operation, maintenance, reinvestment, and development of existing land infrastructure within Jönköping Municipality. The department manages streets, roads, squares, parks, playgrounds, nature reserves, forests, parking, harbors, ferry traffic, industrial tracks, and internal vehicle service.
